Phone/techy advice

So, I'm trying to sort a simple, cheap option for mirroring my phone screen to my tv. I have no objection to this being a wired or wireless solution. What's the best and simplest way to do this.

This is to allow me to stream non chromecast supported apps to my tv.

My phone's an HTC one m8, and the answer is not "do a smell up the usb"
