I think the thing we cling to with Hooper though is that

if he gets the sort of chance that Grabban had on Saturday or Jerome has missed on the odd occasion (I don't think he did much wrong with the two he had saved on Saturday to be fair) then he is likely to bury it because he's a more composed finisher.

He hasn't really had a chance like those in his two cameos so far since he's been back in the first team squad. Of course he may prove us all wrong by getting one and screwing it up on Friday!
