Hi all,
As the temperature has dropped a little in recent weeks we've been using our heating a bit, with no issues whatsoever.
However 2 days ago I turned on a radiator in a room that had been decorated back in April. The little temperature gauge thing (whatever you call the piece of plastic you turn to adjust level of heat that the radiator pumps out) was stuck with paint, so I had to force it a little (really little force, nothing drastic, so don't think that's the issue ).
When it turned there was quite a big clonk in the system, which I initially thought was the radiator just filling up after not being used for months, however in the last day or two or boiler pressure has been dropping down to zero. I manually sorted pressure at 10pm last night and by this morning we had no hot water again, which worries me, as it mashes me think that turning it on after so long might have now caused a leak somewhere.
Is this simply a case of needing to bleed that radiator, or has my decorator who took the radiator off the wall and the refitted it afterwards potentially cocked something up that's caused a bigger problem that's only now becoming apparent now I'm trying to use it again?
Any help much appreciated! Thank you!
