Well at least he promotes discussion, if nothing else.

That's not all a bad thing, even if you don't agree with him or like his style of writing (as I don't). He tries to justify and back up his opinions, even though it's a pity he has to patronise as he does it: "most supporters probably don't realise", "what do I mean by that?" and so on.
