Utter s**t. Bond was loved (initially) as he bought a bit of swagger to us. Brown was loved as he was a good manager and won our last (and arguably only) major trophy. Stringer because of 2 cup semi finals and 4th place in the league. Walker 3rd in the Prem and Bayern.

"Heck: the morning Martin O'Neill left - the morning that, deep down, we all realised we'd be stuck in this poxy division for the best part of a decade - many players actually CELEBRATED. Because he'd been demanding; he'd rattled cages... and they didn't like it."

Is that true? Many players? Who? Players like winning, amazed if they didn't like it under O'Neill.

Only respected as long as he was taking us forwards."

The fans = Some people. Remember form above, some people are idiots.

Utter nonsense and untrue. If you don't think Bowkett & McNally are hard nosed, you're a fool. Also Delia & Michael wouldn't have been successful in their professions without drive, ambition and toughness.

Most were happy with Hoots appointment I think. Good record at Newcastle, did well at Brum. Nonsense to think they appoint a manager on that basis. They want to win games and be successful, ridiculous to suggest they'd appoint a manager on any other basis. You can disagree wit their appointment but don't rubbish it on that flimsy basis.

"But to have a novice learning on the job at a time when we literally can't afford to fail - because if we do, we'll be stuck back here for years and years - is a complete dereliction of duty absolutely typical of us. The fans think Adams will play 'the Norwich way', have always had affection for him anyway, so they support him: but there's nothing of substance to base that support on."

This is so over the top, it may prove to be correct, but despite a poor recent run, we're in touch with the automatic promotion places, he clearly motivates the players. Not my first choice by a long stretch, and the 'we scoured Europe' quote was a bit odd, but it's hardly time to push the button.

How does he excite them, motivate them, make them feel like they'll go places in their careers under him, in the manner that Lambert did? He can't. They're clearly playing for him, performances in general have been OK, frustrating lately. The club stated they wanted to instil a style of play and use youth, early days for that plan.

"So on we drift. There's no real shape to our play; there's certainly no zip or edge to it. But that's us as a club. No zip, no edge, just niceness and softness and incredible loyalty and not an awful lot to show for it. I don't say all this because I'm a miserable arsehole or something; it's only football, after all. I say it because it makes me sad.?

I wouldn't say you're a miserable arsehole but there is a degree of self-loathing and 'look at me' that comes over in these lengthy posts. There is some truth in what you say about lack of zip, but I see no softness, niceness or loyalty causing the problems.

We're just back to being that nice club which other managers mouth platitudes about after we've just failed to beat them; that nice club which treats its players extremely well but is nowhere near demanding enough in what we expect of them; that nice club whose fans applaud the team off the pitch, win or lose; that nice club probably set fair for another decade in this miserable, God-forsaken league."

Nonsense, utter garbage. Our fans boo the players at f**king half-time. Half-f**king-time. 'God-forsaken league' Fucking hell.

Guess what? Sometimes teams don't go straight back up and it takes a while. Time is running out for what? Norwich City Football Club? Rubbish. 1995 was the fag end of the damaging Chase era, totally different time to now. 2005 we had Neil Fucking Doncaster in charge and we ended up in debt. Neil Doncaster. You can't compare the two to today.
