Well this is all a bit frustrating, isn't it?

You'd have thought we were going to have the league in the bag by Christmas a few weeks back. It's still possible, but Adams needs to find a bit Dowie's old bouncebackability if it's going to happen, because at the moment he's suffering from Hoots' chronic problem of being unable to arrest a slide. Early days plenty of the games left blah blah blah, but as the table takes shape, gaps grow and teams start to pull away, it'll become more and more difficult to turn it around. And based on the last few games, he's no Lambert when it comes to reinvigorating players and reshaping a team.
