I recall somebody on here suggesting that the reason for the total no show on the night was a possible consequence of each player knowing he had no chance of figuring in the league team unless injuries forced the managers hand. Hence the lack of commitment that night.
That performance seemed to validate Adams appraisal of some of his fringe players, who have since sunk into obscurity. It will be interesting to see how much Adams is prepared to change the line up against Leeds and if he is prepared to put any noses out of joint.
Wes will obviously be out for a spell and grabban and Johnson are two obvious candidates for the axe but in fairness, probably only turner could put forward a convincing arguments if he found himself dropped on Tuesday.
Certainly o'neill, vadis, howson, hooper, lafferty, murphy, garrido and miquel should at least be in Adams thoughts for what is looking a very important match indeed.
