Every sport's done it

We're one of the leading sports nations in the world. Third in the Olympics medals table etc.

But football is the one sport where glory, success, focus etc etc is achieved beneath international level.

So really it will never change because, unlike in other sports, there is no collective will.

Germany are world champions because there was that will. Because we pulled their pants down in 2001. Funny old game.
