I think that depends partly on the club

I would suggest that Green Bay and Pittsburgh (old teams min traditional blue collar areas) are pretty important to their community. But agree that those that are fairly new (Houston, Jacksonville etc) or have -grrrrr - moved city (such as the Rams, Titans & Cardinals) are rather less so.
