My thought is...

As soon as Tettey went off v Charlton the team let in a goal because the Charlton player was allowed so much time and space. Tettey would likely have stopped that. Tettey also allows the more creative players to get forwards.

BJ actually has more vision going forwards than Howson it's just that he lacks the ability to match his vision. When he wins the ball it often goes straight back to the opposition.

Howson isn't good at creating chances and he is rubbish at closing down and winning the ball, so what is the point of him?

I would like to see O'Neil or Odjidja-Ofoe given a chance alongside Tettey.
