I've seen him promise other people mobile phones, which of course never materialise

When 2-3 mates eventually went "do you believe he's got all this stuff", one replied "but he doesn't even have a car", to which the other went "maybe it's in his garage and he doesn't drive it much"

lol.

Again, I just assume there's some reason, good way of blocking out something they don't want to remember/think about
