why is Ruddy so over-rated?

Yet again a visiting goalkeeper overshadows Ruddy by making a number of great saves. That's what Goalkeepers do !!!
Ruddy makes a good save (against Cardiff) and no one dare criticise him for the next six months ....
All the Sunday papers said it was Ruddy's fault in giving away a needless penalty on Saturday. Which leads me to think, when was the last time Ruddy saved a penalty - has he ever? The thought that he deserves an England squad place is optimistic based upon recent performances - he is nothing special, just standard Championship quality.
