Overspending in the PL can hurt you badly in the Champs if relegated.

Its a fine balance, those para payments dont help much if you are paying huge PL wages. Most clubs (Norwich excluded) seem to have huge gate drops and revenue drops even outside of TV money.

While we have sold some players I dont think we have been forced too. We have also spent quite a bit of that money in getting replacements.

I think Norwich have gotten the balance right in terms of prudence vs ambition.......it angers a lot of fans who dont live in the real world.
They would prefer a Portsmouth style spending spree or some crazy foreign rich owner........remind me again how that is working out at Fulham and Cardiff?
