It?s been an up and down season, but more ups than downs. Gemma won three junior golf opens, Stanmore Junior Champs as well as today?s result but missed the cut in two national championships. Sadly one of these was England U18?s where poor Gemma had a complete first round shocker followed by a very good second round.

And she lost her place in her England regional golf squad through bad luck and a decision that we both found difficult to take. But this has only determined her resolved to prove the squad manager wrong.

She didn?t start as young as other girls which has been a disadvantage but she has a bit of her Dad?s sporting gene and luckily all the dedication and determination that I didn?t have.
