I don't see a paradox.

I *do* want us to end up there!

I enjoyed both seasons before last year. Really. And if we went up this year, which I think we will, I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy most of the next one.

However, do I (and by extension, most of us) enjoy what football, especially top level football, has become? That's the real issue for me, which I think taints what we all think of watching our team in the Premier League.
