done as well as they possibly could and will now hope he get away with just a short sentence.

The prosecution may appeal on this dolus thingamebob point - the judge made a statement re the lesser murder charge yesterday which sounded rather contradictory (about how he cannot have intended to kill the person behind the door regardless of whether he thought it was the deceased, because he thought the deceased was in the other room.
