There's bazillions of options, depending on where you want to listen to music

and on what devices. For a lot of situations iTunes actually will be the best option. Particularly if you're not into your pens.

To be fair to apple, iTunes is apparently a lot better now than it was a few years ago, when it was hands-down the worst software application of all time, by any number of metrics.
