(a) it's not about the campaign, but
(b) the Scots were open-minded and "open to practical arguments against" independence, and the campaign has failed to make those arguments "stick"
Which is, of course, a failure of the campaign ...
Only interesting thought in there is that the Scots are keen on independence because they're so rich!
Of course it's not JUST the campaign - it's so many other things too (Thatcher, Blair, the general rise of small-minded nationalism in the UK so that UKIP-type Tories went ScotNat, Salmond's rabble-rousing skills, giving the vote to 16 year olds, etc etc). But it's been a s**t campaign too.
