If it's just the screen...

...then a new one is about ?40 and quite easy to replace (there are you tube videos showing you how - I've done it for my kids' machines a few times).

I don't know how you'd diagnose if it is just the screen though (in my case the little darlings had cracked the screens so it was an obvious diagnosis)
