The beeb

Had an income of over ?3.65b from license fee payers alone in 2013, plus the government funding of ?270m (mainly to pay for world service radio broadcasting which isnt covered by the license fee). Interestingly enough its the government responsible for setting the ?145 licence fee, not the beeb. It then also had an income of ?1.1b from its own commercial wing selling programs around the world.

I think in times of austerity its doing 'ok' as a company......dont think anyone can grumble about the government funding.
