I was invited round for a meal once. I kid you not. It was potato pie served with a side

of tinned new potatoes.

He was new to cooking. He once burned spaghetti because the instructions said 'place in boiling water' which he did with out stirring it so all bits standing out of the pan got charred on the gas ring.
