Been following this as I was flying recently

I used to think I didn't know much about Volcanoes, but since lurking around a couple of forums on the subject I now realise I know absolutely nothing about Volcanoes.

The one consistent theme I picked up is that even the experts have no idea how this is all going to end up, and it's the gases (Sulphur Dioxide/Hydrogen Flouride) that might be the problem, not the ash.
