Had a couple of false starts

Where we tried going without nappies and had a cavalcade of 'accidents'. We then took the view he wasn't ready, and gave him another month of nappies.

Third time was lucky, and he largely cracked it right away then. First attempt was about 2 yrs old, maybe slightly older. Finally got there at about 2.5, maybe slightly older.

Worth saying we still have the occasional accident now, aged just 4, mostly when the game is so much fun having a wee gets left till the last second...

Stick with it. And don't be afraid to prompt them by constantly asking 'do you need a wee?'.

And yes, it seems girls are generally much better at this than boys.
