NBTTT - Redmond

Why is Redmond expected to be a complete player more than anyone else in our squad? Fans don't moan after every game that Hoolahan is one footed and can't shoot, or that Turner is slow and can't turn, or that Whittaker is rubbish at 1v1s.

We accept that they have weakeness, which is why they are playing for us. Yet with Redmond, who is the best dribbler in the club and the player that most stretches the opposition defence, his weakness in crossing and shooting is brought up all the time. If he had a consistent end product he would be way too good for us, because he has everything else to be an international level winger. As it is, he is still one of our best players and the one that scares the opposition the most.

The fact that he is only 20 and has plenty of time to still improve makes the scapegoating even more ridiculous.
