It would be great if he stayed.

I can't see him rocking the boat and asking for a transfer. But I wonder if there was an "agreement" in his new contract that said if we didn't look like going up bla bla bla, however, he doesn't HAVE to exercise it yet.

Best case scenario is he stays, gets another 25 (!) goals before the end of the season, we rally and finish 8th, then, by this time next year, we are "doing a Reading", he then signs for Man City for ?12 million and is loaned back to us for the rest of the season, we get Man City, at home, first game of 07-08 season, he applauds us, we appluad him, he scores, we win 2-1.

Sutton, aided by the now prolific Jarvis gets the winner.
