I agree that it can be pathetic to say "sack the manager" in the way that politicians say "the prime minster should resign" every time anything bad happens even when it's obvoiusly not his fault.
But I really don't think we're at that stage with Worthy. He persisted with Holt last season when everyone could see Safri was a much better option. He had no idea what to do with Helveg or Jonson. He had a stupid row with Eddy and has since shipped in THREE (count them, THREE) right backs, AND played Flem there, and has created a problem area in the team from nothing. We still don't have a right winger and he's even tried Thorne there FFS. He wasted money on s**t cloggers like Hughes and Jarrett . He played Charlton in midfield anc called him a playmaker. He's starved Ashton of service till he looks mediocre.
It's ridiculous to say that there is no basis for wanting to get rid of Worthy. There's a perfectly rational, very strong case against him. Of course I accept that until there's an obvious and affordable alternative, it's a very tricky decision for the Board. But sometimes you have to make tricky decisions.
