Exciting young midfielder joins Canaries from Falkirk
NORWICH City have completed a deal to sign promising midfielder Conor McGrandles from Falkirk for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old has agreed a three-year contract at Carrow Road, with an option for a further 12 months.
He said: "It feels brilliant to be here, a dream come true really. I never expected it to happen so quick, but I'm just really delighted to be here.
"I know Gary Holt through our time at Falkirk and he was a big factor in me coming here. He told me all about the place and sold it really well."
McGrandles worked under current City first-team coach Holt during the latter's 14-month stint in charge at the Scottish Championship club.
He made 82 senior appearances for the Bairns after making his professional debut aged just 16 in 2012.
Neil Adams added: "Conor comes highly recommended by Gary after his time there as manager.
"He's a dynamic, combative player who can be used anywhere across the midfield, and he's already played plenty of games so he has the ability to compete at senior level."
Falkirk-born McGrandles earned his first call-up to Scotland's Under-19s squad earlier this summer for the Elite round of the European Championships.
