I went through a period of utter s**t after the breakdown of my marriage. Got accused of all kinds of crap and I was dragged through the courts to seek a financial settlement. They were horrible times, but I always held on to the belief that things would eventually get better.
Just don't be brow beaten in to believing you're someone you're not. Avoid bouts of mud-slinging with the ex if you can, it serves no purpose and no one wins. Make use of your friends and lean on them if you need. If they don't want to talk, help or support you, then they were never friends to you in the first place and you should walk away from them.
What goes around, comes around. I've always believed in that mantra, and it's seen me through to a much better place after my marriage breakdown. Be selfish and focus on yourself... much more than you've ever done before. That's what helped me survive the most difficult time of my life. Fill your life with positivity. Yes, you have to confront the past to sort it out, but this is about sorting things for your future and whatever you want to make of it.
Good luck fella.
