I still aren't impressed with the whole situation of this season

Yes you are right saturday probably was a lot to do with Worthington, and he'll happily think that

When it doesn't go his way, it will be back to being everyone elses fault again

One good performance out of flem doesn't make a season, we all know he isn't that good anymore

David Wright has gone back, hopefully he'll sign but it underlines the fact that when Worthington let Edworthy go he screwed up in that position by getting MLJ, Colin, sticking flem there and now David Wright

How many other clubs do you know would allow a manager to sign 3 players in one position in one season, when that area wasn't really an issue in the first place

Then there's the case of Jarrett, alongside Colin and MLJ. That's 3 signings that have been a waste of time. I aren't gonna jump on the Hughes bandwagon as I thought he was alright for Reading when I saw him and it could have been a good signing. Same with Thorne, but the blame for Thorne lays at Worthy's door too, as Thorne isn't a right winger, and he probably got injured from playing out of position

Then there's the massive point on the right wing situation, which is never addressed, although Robinson has arrived (a few years passed his sell by date)

Adding to this you have practically no midfield, thus rendering players like Ashton useless to the point that people think they are s**te. Ashton is a specific striker, he like RVN and Viduka's and shearers off this world stand about and wait for a good ball

If you give that, they will bag.

I just thought it was a crashing shame that Ashton's career has taken the a backward turn by him staying here. We've weakened his value and we've stalled his career

So I suppose Worthington should take credit from beating Crewe and a managerless southampton. But it doesn't necessarily mean he deserves a lot of praise for it, and this season as a whole
