Just a little thing from Adams' tactics book that I loved...

Ten mins to go and we were increasingly looking to Redmond to be our pressure valve release. Scum noticed this and put three on him. Redmond was becoming increasingly isolated.

So first Adams switched him to the right, and his markers followed.

Then Adams put him in the centre, against the slower CBs. Now, Redmond still had 2/3 around him, but now uninhibited by the lack of space running the line, he could freely go on his time consuming mazy runs either diagonally left or right, running down the clock in the process. Thought it was really smart work.

The blokes behind me and to the left of me didn't though. "why the f**k is he in the centre now" followed by a few choice slurs that would make Malky blush.
