This and that on the game

Just some random observations having watched a recording of the game.

Really pleased that Ruddy has stayed with us. I really like him, but for him to get back into contention for England, he has to do something about his distribution. Time and time again his dead ball kicks go directly to an opponent. Fix that and he'd be brilliant.

With all the transfer talk around Redmond, up till yesterday's game i wasn't too concerned about losing him - if the price was right. But I thought he had his best game for us - ever. Slick ball control. some really good passing, and lots of promise showed. If he is moving, his price should have gone up after yesterday.

Grabban - what a buy! Could have had an extra couple, but at least he's making the chances. And his general distribution is fabulous.

Wes - for me the same as ever, sometimes brilliant, sometimes shocking. But wouldn't leave him out of the team for the brilliant times.

So pleased to see Benno back - really like hi attitude and think he will get better and better.

O'Neill in his short spell showed that he is a city player already - great heart and determination. Looking forward to seeing more.

Our defense as a unit still worries me though - holding thumbs for some movement in next week.

Final thought - looking forward to next week. Never thought I would say that again!
