The high finishing position was a fluke, gained by a couple of end-season results in meaningless games. We were still in a relegation scrap with half a dozen games to go - plenty of seasons we haven't been.

He was spot on in pointing out the fundamental flaw in Hughton's management of us. Don't see what his verbosity has to do with anything - he was right.
