Things haven?t been so sparkly of late due to the fact that cancer came rudely into our lives and made an unwanted guest of itself within my darling wife. Anyway, this isn?t a sob story because that isn?t me and this s**t affects everyone pretty much so, you know, we deal with it.

This is a story of how good our club is

Basically around the time we?d had the diagnosis the old Ipswich ticket shenanigans came out and beans as I?ve two ST?s I applied for two tix. But? Bastardo Maximus, although I had enough away points on my ST, my son was short by 50 points (1 away game) gutted. Blokey in ticket office said ?dunt worry, apply for the ballot, he?s got 1200 away points should be ok? so I applied and got on with dealing with the cancer stuff. As you do.

Anyway, time passed, I was in the emotional tumble drier of this f**king awful cruel disease that was rocking our orbit and I forgot all about the footy. Then my son asked about the tix. So I asked ncfc. ?Soz mate all tix gone, but we did send you an email. Turned out they?d got my email address suffix wrong.

Gutted. Not for me but for my son who has right got into the Norwich big style lately. He so wanted to go to the game with his dad and I?d let him down it appeared.

Amongst all this bollocks as well, somehow I?d lost our two ST?s so had to go up to the ticket office yesty to get replacements as my son and his GF wanted to go to the game last night. On the way out of the ticket office I saw neil adams on his way into reception so I buttonholed him and gave him my little sob story and bless his heart he said ?look, I can?t promise anything but go down to the players entrance at ipswich and just grab me before the game and I will see if I can get one of the players complimentary tickets for you? what a f**king top bloke.

Anyway, in the meantime, cos I?m a right moaning f**k, I?d emailed the club and spat my little dummy out and asked why I?d not had the email offering ippo tix for my son blah blah blah.

They rang me today and said they?d had a couple of returns and so we could go and could sit together and this news was like a tiny blinding shaft of light that pierced what has been a bastard of a couple of months. So hats off to our club, they saw me right when I really needed it and as for neil adams, he really is a top man.
