but it does not help his cause when it appears he does not know what is going on with the sale of one of his most valuable players.

Whether that's because he's been told to trot out the ignorance line to bat away the questions or because he genuinely does not know I have no idea.

I would however like an explanation from the head of our new "football board" as to why a club who does not need to sell any players and has no players with release clauses in their contract needs to or should agree to this deal if the fee is as low as is rumoured to be the case.
