Sympathies...

1. Its what the public want, rightly or wrongly. I'm not going to knock the New Age industry*, because I do a lot of work in it, but it saddens me to see it replacing science in many peoples affections. I have tried to balance the two, but its difficult.

* I will knock all of the neer-do-wells and charalatans making a mint out of it though.

2. Its not just Argos. Sainsbury's Homebase exactly the same-look on PC ("...the computer says no..."), and to avoid saying, "our stock control system is useless, as is the person who works as stock controller", you get, "ah, this is an ORDER item" -but of course, you can't order it at the store, then and there, you have to go home and do it online!

3. Yep, same with Mrs MP-size 8/10, fine if you're a 16/18, but 8/10, forget it, "you'll grow into it", not unless she puts on about 60 pounds you halfwit!

Same with chaps things-places overflowing with sweaters etc in "M" and "S", but anything in XL for us people that dare to be over 6feet? Oh no.
