It was obvious he would go as soon as we were relegated. I think Adams' comments are being taken out of context. Of course he would want to keep him but he knows that it was never going to happen and therefore it's down to McNally to get the best deal. If there was some kind of Southampton style asset stripping then Ruddy would've been sold, Olsson etc etc. On top of this can't say I'm that bothered (in fact I can't say I'd be bothered about losing any of last years squad as long as we replaced them with someone decent) he drifted in form last year, seldom stood up when the pressure was on and most of the time looked over-rated. Not saying that he hasn't got it, but he needs to do much much more than he did last season if he wants a regular Premier start.
