Turned out after all it was a cockup by John Lewis but was quite worrying as we were told that it was an identity fraud to start with. We even registered with Experian to check things out.

The lady who ordered the IPAD had a similar email address to Mrs KC as it was a combination of the lady?s maiden and married names. After quite some time Mrs KC thought we found who she was on facebook from some school re-union picture (which had referenced her maiden name)

We took the IPAD back to John Lewis in Brent Cross who were very grateful and gave us a ?25 voucher to spend at the store. So all well in the end.
