well I sort of agree with you except that...

if he WAS that good you'd think we'd have had a lot more interest in him than we have.

I've always rated Pilks but he hasn't actually produced much for ages (for whatever reason), or indeed looked very interested, and I'm starting to think I rate him based more on what he should be able to do rather than on what he actually does...

And the brutal truth - he is in the last year of his contract. If he wants out we're better off selling now and getting some money for him than have him mooching about for a year and leaving for nothing.
