After Sundays debacle, a major signing or two might have raised the mood

ahead of Saturdays vital game. Instead we get a major sale. The initial bitter disappointment at Adams unveiling and the ludicrous subsequent attempt to justify it, scouring Europe etc etc. I had managed to convince myself was just negativity engendered by chris hughton and his reign of terror. The joe royle episode and the Italian tour fiasco made me feel ever more uneasy and now it seems the club is rudderless and heading for the rocks.
No major moves have been made in the transfer market and I fear we are sitting ducks just waiting for big bids tO prise out several more of our better players.
Adams was greeted with almost universal dismay when appointed and has no great fund of goodwill to fall back on if things get sticky. If Watford and Blackburn yield only a point or two, the trip down the road may well be his last assignment. The natives are starting to get a little angry.
