Howe I agree with, but he was never going to come to a relegated team after coming so close with B'mouth and with his previous experience.

Lennon and Mackay would have split people fairly equally. Lennon's narrative would be all about how he couldn't cut it in England. Mackays would have been all about Hughtonball.

Certainly this would be the case on the message boards anyway. I'd like to think the fans aren't such relentlessly reactionary doom merchants at games.
