the worst thing was the team selection and tactics

because that is something that is totally under the manager's control (no manager can ensure his players will 'turn up' - even the best managers have their teas 'go missing' on occasion). The selection was ridiculous - only one ball-winner in front of the defence and no target man. I don't know what we thought we were trying to do?
