perhaps he is better than the form he has showed in the last couple of seasons

but Arsenal definitely looked better with Koscielny and Mertesacker than with him last season. Barca though can attract and afford almost any player in the world, so it seems odd they haven't gone for someone like Godin or Hummels instead.
