I disagree with both of those, funnily enough.

re ashton - there's no need for us to issue any statement about - that would just add fuel to any speculatory fire. The reason Palae have had to do that is because at least one club (Brum) have already enquired about him, and they know there'll be more.

re the players we want to leave - I think we're playing this exactly right. Publically saying we'e not expecting anyone else to be released, and encouraging the players to keep their heads down. All about raising maximum coin for the players we know will be leaving. The minute they announce they want to go, we lose bargaining power.
