Dave - if you travel to London

Your best bet is to fly but to book it now!!

If you book with Easy Jet (who fly from London Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow) to Amsterdam it can be very cheap if you book in advance - check out www.easyjet.com

From Amsterdam, it is about two and half hours on the train to Maastricht - a really beautiful city with a good night life (not the amsterdam way but just the normal nightlife way!!)
