Players leaving

Generally I hate it when players leave. I remember all the local press when Sutton left. He was even on the local news prior to moving and they made him sit there and grimace while they showed mock-ups of him in all the rumoured target club's strips.

...and I still remember walking into the Pub downstairs in UEA campus (Does that have a name now, or is it still 'The Pub'?) and people telling me that Ruel had left and how gutted I was.

I would be gutted again to lose players from our current remaining squad. I think all of them could do a really good job in the CCC next season. I understand Greeno wanting to stay in the England squad and most of us have expected him to move on at some point, but I would like to see all the others stay. (I don't want Greeno to leave either by the way).

If Francis has agreed a move, then so be it, but what if he hasn't and he is here next season. Will people still be on his back for a slow end of season? I hope people will get behind him again if he is confirmed as staying.

I would like to see the Doc and Shackell paired in defence next season to be honest. I know he made a few mistakes, but I think his bad performance has been exaggerated over time and I think he would be great in there with Shackell.

One player who I hopes would really start to turn it on towards the end of the season is Jonson. I hope he stays and comes good. He has quality, he just needs to start performing. Maybe next season is the perfect opportunity for him, and others, to do that.

Oh, and Helveg for captain if he is still here...
