Carnac has some stonehenge type of thing.

We stayed a few nights on a campsite where you could put a tent on the edge of the beach:

There are miles of great deserted beaches and woods off the Atlantic side of the D786 to Quiberon. Mrs & I were relaxing with a beach to ourselves... along came a woman who took off everything and lay right alongside me. Massive unkept bush. We never spoke and she walked off after about 15 mins. Weird.

Used to like La Rochelle when I was a youngster but can't now remember any details.
