I was there this time last year actually...

if you remember i am staying at the Humboldt Park Holiday Inn!!

I didnt realise at the time that the whole of that park had bunkers underneath etc, and that there is a kind of exhibition there - nice bonus (although my dad is not too mobile so the steps may be a problem)

Thinking i might venture a bit further into the East, to see how its developed.

I remember staying in a youth hostel not too far into the East of Berlin about 4 years ago - i was amazed when we got off the S-Bahn... it went from all nice new stations, to old tin station buildings, uneven cobbled platforms. Such a contrast, all i could think of was a scene from Schindlers List!

Fanscinates me, even after 3 trips there.
