It's because we have improved enormously in Olympic sports

These sports now get lottery funding and it is paying off.

Unbelievable really.

The Commonwealths is basically the same sports as the Olympics so naturally we will excel in these games too.

Australia used to top us all the time in the Olympics as well as the Commonwealths - now we're the bosses.
