He's making a point based on what he's seen/heard so far.

Just because you don't agree doesn't make him wrong.

It's difficult to argue the point that this pre season has had a very farcical nature to it.

We've yet to be seriously tested and we have one more fixture before the season starts. Irrelevant that it's pre season.

What's that old saying, fail to prepare, prepare to fail?

Could have plenty of relevance in a month or two's time.
