We have a relatively more competitive league than Spain

but that's only because our very best teams are poorer than their best teams at the moment.

Liverpool were able to challenge last season because Man City and Chelsea were relatively poor for long periods and United were a basket case.

It would be nice to think we have five outstanding teams challenging for the title but we don't. And again, we won't have any teams getting past the quarter finals of the Champions League.

In Spain, Real and Barca will be streets ahead again imo. Atletico will probably be stripped to the bone.
